It’s Easy to Adapt Recipes to Make them Healthier
Now for a bit of fun! You may think you’ve gone right off the course and down some other lane here, but hey, why not add some health-giving chocolate cake into the mix?
28-Recipe-AdaptionAs you can clearly see, I’ve chosen just two recipes and shown you a few ideas on how you could make a naughty and unhealthy meal into something that’s going to build your health.
I just love the look of that chocolate cake… so moist and I bet it tastes really beautiful, but… it wouldn’t do good on my wellness journey. 🙁
So, what can we do?
A few ideas are listed there. Maybe you can think of some more… please share!
I side-step Lasagna and will not eat it, but I reckon I could make up a Lasagna that would taste just as good but without all that pasta. You will see a few of my ideas there. What other ideas can you think of?
Many years ago I was taken to an Italian restaurant. We had to choose our meal from the display. Ugh! I didn’t see anything apart from different shaped pasta styles with tomato sauce and cheese. Just variations of the same thing. Even back then when I was not so conscious of what I ate, I was dismayed at the choice. I’ve never forgotten it – it was not a good experience.
Hey, I have nothing against Italians or their meals in general, but surely to goodness they would prepare other meals too. I love my vegetables, always have, so you can imagine I wasn’t too impressed. Even a good salad would have saved the day but there was nothing like that.
You can do it with anything!
Look, it virtually doesn’t matter what recipe you find and there are countless thousands, or should I say millions, floating around, you can take them out of the unhealthy range and place them smack bang into a health-building meal. Maybe not everything, but an awful lot. You don’t have to go without anything really.
Did I hear you say “But what about ice-cream?”
No problems mate! Ice-cream is simple to make with the help of some coconut milk, frozen bananas, maybe a little honey or maple syrup and a blender! This is not an actual recipe but you get the idea. I have added a link in the resources that has some pretty cool recipes for alternative ice-cream. 🙂
Maybe you’d like to share some recipe adaptions you’ve come up with???
