A little bit of Meal Planning Helps Vary your Food
A few simple ideas on meal planning:
29-Meal-PlanningWell, there you have it… told you it would be simple! I virtually run by this plan and it helps me not to have to think too hard about what I’m going to have for a meal tonight. It’s already have it in my head. The biggest decision is Take-Away Tuesday as I have to run through a few various ideas of what can be bought at a Take-Away shop, but that’s not much to have to do.
Thoupy Thursday is where I make all kinds of various soups, some thicker than others. Sometimes they are thicker and need to be eaten with a fork. It doesn’t matter, it’s whatever I decide to do.
I go out into my veggie patch and pick some fresh leaves for the basis of a salad and add whatever else may be on hand. Tip over some olive oil and either balsamic or apple cider vinegar is my most usual method of a quick salad. Sometimes I branch out and make something quite different, but usually it’s quick and easy.
Life is busy enough, isn’t it, and meals are always ‘in our face’. The important thing is to make up a good shopping list to ensure you have the right ingredients and don’t slip back into buying packaged foods or tins.
I have a bag where I keep jars from my pantry when the supply runs out. When shopping day comes, I empty the bag onto the bench and make up my list. Some jars come with me to fill up again at the bulk food stores. I find this works for me very well.
How are you managing in the meal planning department?
