How Refined Sugar Destroys your Health
It’s time to say ‘no’ to sugar otherwise these health conditions could be on the way to your house!
15-How-Sugar-destroys-your-healthYes, we do need to be aware of the wolf in sheep’s clothing!
We need to recognise it as the addiction it really is. We are so familiar with hearing about cigarette addiction, drug addiction, or alcohol addiction, and many shake their heads wondering how they got caught up in something so stupid. How could they allow themselves to be so dependent on those things?
But hey, it’s reality time… truth is, if you are overweight or obese, you are likely to be suffering a sugar addiction! Even slim people can be addicted but their body processes it differently… but it can still lead to the same problems.
As a nation, or should I say, the western society… we are a people totally addicted to sugar and generally speaking, we pay the price.
We should not look down our noses at those suffering any kind of addiction, especially when there’s every likelihood, we suffer one ourselves.
So you reckon it’s not you! No way am I addicted to sugar! Oh really?
OK, don’t eat or drink anything for the next two weeks with any added sugar. None, you mind!
Then we’ll talk again. OK?
Could you do it? Could you go without sugar for a couple of weeks, no problems at all?
Just like those addicted to prescription drugs, or any other form of addiction, how’s it different?
Love to hear from you.
We gave up added sugar and processed foods about 18 months ago. I have been so surprised at how less hungry I am – the “good” fats keep me satiated. And as long as I get my real cream in my coffee in the mornings and my organic 90% dark chocolate, I’m happy!
Haha… I’m with you Lisa! Yes, this is something most people have no idea about and because of it constantly feel hungry. Eating well comes with many benefits.
Thank you for sharing.
