Sometimes you need to become a Sleuth!
I think wheat has a lot to answer for… whether it’s the large amount of gluten it contains, or whether it’s the Glyphosate and other insecticides they spray it with, or all the modifications (wheat has undergone over 300 genetic modifications – increasing the gluten content until it’s way through the roof!) … I’m not really too sure. Many of us will choose to go wheat-free even if we don’t suffer with gluten problems.
To do that, you need to become a sleuth!…
21-Become-a-SleuthHave you ever walked into a shop, whether it’s a cafe or bakery, and stood there in dismay wondering what you can eat? I have. Especially if we’re out on the road and haven’t prepared a picnic to take with us. My husband has been known to drag me into these shops to find ‘something’ to eat.
If this happens, I find myself thinking I’d rather go without, but men can get a bit funny when you suggest something like that. To keep the peace, in I go.
Addicted to Wheat as a Nation!
Our western nations are addicted to wheat. They suffer sugar addiction too! People line up everywhere waiting for their pies or sandwiches. How about you speak up and suggest they’d be better off not eating that kind of food? They’d think you were a crazy nut! Go lock her up! You wouldn’t do it, and neither would I of-course.
If you are a non-smoker you can’t imagine why smokers are drawn in by the nicotine, and yet manufacturers are pulling you around by the nose in the same way when it comes to eating wheat. This is something we never think of. Read the source links below for more information.
It appears to me as seen in the below articles, that if they spray the silos etc for wheat in this way, what makes us think they wouldn’t do the same for any other grain?
I know a lady who will not eat broccoli. It turns out that her husband used to grow broccoli for the market. She’d see all the sprays he would apply and vowed not to eat broccoli again!
Problem is that most vegetables and grains etc receive the same kind of treatment. We really do have to go organic as much as we possibly can. Of-course, organics are not always available but we must do the very best we can.
What are some of your experiences? Please share.
