Sensible Snacking Ideas

I have mentioned that it’s good to just eat three meals per day with no snacking in between.  I’ve also mentioned that if you are interested you could use Time Restricting Eating and cut yourself down to two main meals per day.  It could be though that a little snack in-between is not such a bad idea, especially if you are restricting your eating to an 8 hour window.  You need to do what seems right to you.  You body will let you know.

But as you can see, there is a trick to snacking.  It’s not a matter of grabbing a piece of fruit or a few biscuits.  If you make it a complete mini meal, it will stick by you.  This means, to repeat again… fat, fibre & protein.  The nut butter on celery is a great example of that but there are a lot of other options.

I am not supplying recipes with this course though in time you will most probably find many on my website, but I’m trying to teach you principles, not just to follow recipes.  Principles will also stick by you so that you understand what is required.  It’s then an easy process to look ideas up on the Internet once you know what you are trying to achieve.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to forward plan and prepare yourself some good healthy snacks that meet the criteria that I have explained.  This way you will not fall into that dark place that waits for the unprepared.
