Do you know that deficiency diseases caused by lack of minerals are behind many of the common sicknesses and diseases experienced today? Yes, minerals.
There are 4 requisites for life as we know it to be…
- Water
- Energy
- Organic molecules (macronutrients – carbohydrates, proteins, lipids (fats) & nucleic acids)
- Inorganic molecules (minerals – the source of physical life)
Minerals are so important. If it were possible, they are even more important than vitamins! But the truth is, they are both 100% important and are required so help each other to do the job they need to do. But minerals, or more precisely – the lack of them, cause so many problems. Without a quality source of minerals in your diet, nothing else will benefit your health… this includes vitamins and enzymes! You need to start with minerals.
No Minerals = No life
Everything is mineral dependent. Every living creature has a mineral requirement and there would be no life without minerals. It’s the minerals that carry the vibrations of life through the control of millions of chemical and enzymatic processes and reactions that take place in our cells every moment, every day.
According to Nutritional Science some minerals are absolutely essential while others are not quite so important to health. The study of nutrition, and in particular minerals, still has a way to go as there’s so much still unknown. More and more information on the role of all minerals will become known as the years unfold.
There are diseases that medical science can find no cause for. How do we know that it might not be some little misunderstood mineral causing the problem, one that we regard as not being important? It maybe true… maybe not… but don’t you think we should err on the side of caution until it’s known? I think so. I believe, that until more is understood it’s more important to make sure you are receiving the full spectrum of minerals.
In actual fact, I don’t really think for one moment that there is a mineral that’s not important to our overall health.
Deficiency Diseases caused by lack of Minerals List
I was putting together a list of known symptoms and mineral deficiencies related to the condition. In doing so, I was amazed at how long the list became. I stopped after a time, so the list is not comprehensive and there’s no knowing just how long the list could become.
To give you an idea of the sicknesses and diseases that are caused through mineral deficiency, click on this box. You maybe surprised! As you scroll down the list you will see a long list of conditions. As you mouse-over the condition the potential mineral deficiencies will be highlighted.
Not a Diagnostic Tool
Please do no use this tool to diagnose… that’s not my job, and it’s not the job of the Symptom Checker neither. But it will give you an idea of how important minerals are in keeping your body healthy.
Some of the minerals come up time and again… over and over. But I wouldn’t run down to the local health shop to pick up the offending mineral. That’s not how it works. In fact, I don’t believe taking minerals separately on their own is a good idea. The only time you should do that is under the care and advice of your health practitioner. They have had the chance to check you thoroughly and maybe run some tests to confirm which minerals you may be lacking in. This is very important as having too much of a certain mineral can cause other symptoms to arise and I’m sure you don’t want that.
The medical conditions mentioned are deficiency diseases caused by lack of minerals but maybe not just that alone. Vitamins, phytonutrients, protein sources etc. all have a definite part to play in keeping you healthy.
So what are the ‘full spectrum of minerals’?
We are pretty much all familiar with common mineral names such as calcium, potassium, magnesium etc, but what about minerals such as Hafnium, Rhenium, Yttrium etc. etc. etc.? Do you know if you have been receiving sufficient Hafnium lately? I bet you don’t have a clue! Neither do I.
There are many other minerals that most of us have never heard of and possibly we would only need them in tiny trace amounts.
Let me explain…
See an Analysis Sheet for pure, organic, plant derived minerals
Here is an analysis on a certain mineral supplementation containing more than 75 minerals. Look at all the names!
That’s a lot of minerals! This is in the mineral supplement I take each day to ensure I’m receiving ‘the full spectrum’.
It’s important that we realise that taking a mineral supplement like this doesn’t give us a license to eat whatever we want throughout the rest of the day. In fact, it’s very important that we eat a solid diet of fresh fruit and vegetables, and other wholesome foods if we truly want to be healthy.
But there’s Poisons in the Minerals!
Did you notice that? Did you see Arsenic and Mercury in the list? There are others too if you look carefully.
Many minerals are poisonous or very harmful to the human body in their metallic form. Humans, and animals eat plants and/or meat, not metallic minerals. At the same time we need those minerals to perform a great many functions within our body. So, what do we do?
This is where we need to understand the difference between ‘metallic minerals’ and ‘plant derived minerals’. You see, these two types of minerals are completely different – like chalk and cheese. I’ve explained it here: Plant derived minerals vs metallic minerals
Creation of Plant Derived Minerals
Now that we understand the difference between both metallic and plant derived, let us take a look at how one is changed into the other.
What happens to minerals when they are drawn up from the soil into the plant.
Remember that big list of 75 plus minerals up above? In the soils of today many of them are missing as now there are only around 20 or so left. This is very disconcerting. You see, if the minerals are not in the ground they cannot be in the plants that grow in the soil. We can try our best to eat a very healthy diet but there will be virtually no way we can receive the full spectrum of minerals unless we supplement in some way.
Is there an answer to our problem?
Fortunately for us there is. You see, many years ago, way back in a time they call ‘Senonian’, a deposit of plant matter was sealed within two very thick layers of sandstone. This was a time when all the minerals shown in the Analysis above, were present in the soil. The plants changed them through photosynthesis into colloidal minerals before managing to get themselves caught between the sandstone layers. I can’t imagine what happened but it’s just like Mother Nature knew there would be a time on this earth when there would be a severe lack of minerals in our food, so she preserved it just for now!
Read more about it here: Senonian Vegetate
Digestion and Absorption of these Minerals
Most minerals bought from health shops or pharmacies, have been made from metallic minerals. The human body can only absorb a small percentage of metallic minerals, as we learned previously. We are not designed to eat crushed up rocks for dinner. On the other hand, plant derived minerals are between 98 – 100% absorb-able by the body. Which would you prefer? Plant derived colloidal minerals are easy to digest.
What can you do?
There are two main things you can do:
1. Attend to your diet and make sure you are eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, organic where possible. In particular, you need to eat produce that’s not only organic but where they have added the full spectrum of minerals back into the soil. If you are a meat eater, you will receive the minerals that the animal consumed when eating grass as a secondary source.
2. As discussed in this article, there are many minerals missing from our food chain. The good news is that it’s easy to obtain a supply of high quality minerals that contain 75 or so which your body is craving right now. I have developed a short presentation as I wanted to explain it in simple terms.
The presentation will show how you can easily receive the highest quality, plant derived, concentrated minerals to help you side-step so many sicknesses and diseases, like the ones mentioned in the Symptoms Checker above.
I hope you did use the Symptoms Checker (above) to find out the deficiency diseases caused by lack of minerals. It’s eye-opening isn’t it? Did you download the PDF to learn what you can do about it? It’s easy. If you’ve got any questions please don’t hesitate to ask down below.
